Common Queries

Psychologist Session

Do you offer telehealth?

At the moment, we are offering Telehealth services.

This includes for both counselling and portions of some assessments that can be conducted online to avoid unnecessary travel and convenience.

Do you accept walk-ins?

We are not accepting walk-ins at the moment.

However, you do not need a referral from a medical professional to access our services. You can self-refer by using the button below.

It is important to note that having a medical professional, such as a psychiatrist, paediatrician or General Practitioner, onboard is recommended as they can provide appropriate diagnoses or medication, if appropriate.

How much is an assessment going to cost?

Psychological assessments vary in cost depending on the nature of what is assessed.

Our prices are based on time spent in session/assessing, the assessments themselves and dedicated report writing times. This is to ensure high-quality work is completed in a reduced timeframe.

At Nostos Psychology, we provide you with a breakdown of every charge before you have engaged with our services.

Our prices are calculated with the inclusion of a 30-minute online meeting with your child's school to discuss the results.

In addition, if your child's school has access to a school psychologist and they have the capacity, we can complete a multi-disciplinary assessment to reduce the cost. We recommend this where possible.

Do you offer alternatives to standard therapy?

At the moment, we do not offer alternative therapy. However, we are hoping to expand in the near future and have a more permanent home for our practice. When this is the case, we are hoping to offer evidence-based therapy in alternative ways, such as walk-talk therapy, play therapy (through the use of sports, video games etc), & group therapy.

  3. Provide them with the details on where you would like to be referred to.

  4. They can either print or send it through to you.
